Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Release Date Delayed

Hi!

CD Projekt Red announced that they pushed the release of Witcher 3: Wild Hunt twelve weeks due to the amount of bugs and features that are not working correctly currently. This means that the game will hopefully be released on May 19, 2015. CD Projekt apologized for setting a release date that they could not be met.

To be honest, I don't know whether I should feel angry or content. I guess I'm a little bit angry since I've pre-ordered the game thinking that it will be released soon, and now I payed for it like 6 months in advance. On the bright side, I will receive a game with less bugs hopefully. We all know how utterly ridiculous it was to release a game with a heap of bugs that won't let you play as in AC Unity. I'd rather wait than to get a game full of bugs that will need patches to work correctly. I think I'm not the only one that have mixed feelings against this delay judging the comments submitted for the articles about this delay. Majority support the delay since they don't want to get an unfinished or unpolished product while expressing their disappointment.

Steam Adds Broadcast Option (Beta)

Steam has just introduced Steam Broadcasting Beta  . It is different than Twitch streaming as I understood from the explanation given by Steam. To watch any of friends on Steam, you just need to go to their Steam profile and click Watch Game   button and your friend automatically starts live streaming.

What if you want to stream your game?  

It seems there is not any start streaming button at all. At the very first time a friend of your's requests to watch your gameplay, you will be presented with preferences on who could watch your stream. You can configure your streams as

• anyone can watch
• only friends can watch
• only friends can request to watch
• only friends that you invite to watch can watch.

After this configuration is complete, every time you start playing a game on your Steam library and someone clicks Watch Game   button, you start broadcasting. You can stop your broadcast by simply exiting the game or by using the Stop option on Broadcast Panel at Steam Overlay.

Unlike Twitch, there is no camera support in Steam Broadcast. Although you can still use your microphone or chat panel to chat with your audience. You can't save your stream to be watched later either.

You can currently watch streams by the Steam users who broadcasts their games publicly here.

How to Enable Steam Broadcasting?  

You should both the streamer and his/her friends need to opt in to Steam Client Beta.

Which platforms are supported?  

Only Windows 7 and Windows 8 are supported at the moment. 

OSX, Linux and Windows Vista are planned to be supported in the future.

Hearthstone: Goblins vs Gnomes Release Date Announced

At Blizzcon, new expansion for Hearthstone was announced to be released in December. Since Decemeber is here, Blizzard shared the release dates for the Goblins vs Gnomes expansion for various regions with a blog post.

So the new expansion will hit on

• December 8 : Americas including Southeast Asia and Ocenia
• December 9: Europe, Korea, Taiwan and China

Telltale's Game of Thrones Launch Trailer & Release Dates

Telltale's Game of Thrones' first episode Iron From Ice  will be released really soon (couple of hours for me!!!). Telltale shared the launch trailer of the game along with the release dates for various platforms on their blog yesterday.

The release dates for the various platforms:

• Dec 2nd - PC/Mac, PS4 NA
• Dec 3rd - Xbox One & Xbox 360 worldwide, PS4 EU
• Dec 4th - iOS Devices
• Dec 9th - PS3 North America
• Dec 10th - PS3 Europe
• Late December - Android Devices

As long as Telltale revealed, unlike Wolf Among Us where we played from only Bigby's POV, we will play five different POVs -all from the House Forrester- in Game of Thrones. I wonder if/how the choices we make with one POV will affect the other POVs.

Trailer shows a couple of the character's from HBO's Game of Thrones are performed by the Actors/Actresses from the series. Isn't it awesome? Oh the hype! Gotta play this tonight :)

Game of Thrones: A Telltale Games Series

Telltale has finally shared some info on the Game of Thrones game they've been developing.

House Forrester

The game will tell the story of the House Forrester. House Forrester is mentioned in GRRM's A Dance with Dragons book. House Forrester is a noble house from the Wolfswood which is located in the North of Westeros. They are the Bannermen of House Glover and loyal to The Starks. House Forrester is founded 1500 years ago by Cedric Forrester and his triplet sons. The house motto is "Iron From Ice". The rival house is Whitehill.

Locations

The game will allow us to visit familiar places in the GoT universe like King's Landing and also House Forrester's homeland Ironrath. Ironrath is a stronghold located in Ironwood forest. House Forrester controls majority of the Ironwood forest. The importance of the Ironwood is that it is a valuable material to build ships and craft weapons.

Events

The events in the game are taking place just after the end of the third season of GoT TV show and will end just before the begining of season 5.

Gameplay

There will be five different POVs in the game. Those five POV's will either be a member or a servant of House Forrester. The decisions we take with any character will affect the game.As in Walking Dead and Wolf Among Us series, Game of Thrones series will released in episodes. There will be a total of 6 episodes. The first episode is named after the House Forrester's motto Iron From Ice. The first episode will be available soon to download.

Blizzcon Hearthstone: Goblin vs Gnomes Expansion is Announced

 The first Hearthstone expansion called Goblin vs Gnomes will be available this December.

• There will be more than 120 new cards.
• A new minion type called Mechs will be introduced.
• Spectator mode will be added to the game so that your friends can watch your battles.
• New card packs will be available to be bought both by cash and in game gold.

Blizzcon: New Blizzard Game Overwatch Announced

A new PvP shooter franchise called Overwatch has been announced by Chris Metzen at Blizzcon opening ceremony. It's beta will start in 2015.

The game takes place in Earth in the future. Robots went mad, heroes gathered and defended world against the robots. This group of heroes called Overwatch. You will be able to play as the heroes of the Overwatch. At the moment twelve heroes has been announced and all of them new characters unlike Heroes of the Storm. The teams will consist of 6 players. There will be objectives like escorting payload or point captures that the teams need to complete to win.

World of Warcraft: Patch 6.0.2 The Iron Tide is Live in EU Realms!!!

The Dark Portal has finally turned red today. The Iron Incursion event has begun. Participating in the event will reward the players with an achievement achievement which rewards title "of The Iron Vanguard" and an Iron_Starlette_pet pet.

There will also be lvl 90 UBRS with ilvl 550 loot. However, your character's ilvl must be 510 or above to enter the instance.

Don't forget that this event is available till the Warlords of Draenor release on November 13.

World of Warcraft: Patch 6.0.2 The Iron Tide is live October 14

Prepatory patch to Warlords of Draenor expansion is going live on October 14(NA) and October 15(EU). \o/ New skills, gameplay mechanics and lots of changes will be here and also lots of things will be gone forever like challenge dungeons, valor points, commendation badges, brawler's guild season 1, couple of achievements, etc...

Here take a look at what will get scrapped from the game with the patch

 Story

At this point, the Dark Portal has already been activated. It is now visually different - turns red instead of the usual green color- .Iron Horde passed through the portal and invaded Azeroth. In Blasted Lands both Okril'lon and Nethergarde has fallen to the invaders which will propel the Horde and Alliance leaders to get their armies ready to fight with the Iron Horde on Draenor. Iron Horde did not stop at Blasted Lands and also marched to Blackrock Mountains. In Blackrock Mountains, they took refuge in Upper Blackrock Spire.

 

 Limited-Time Event

There will be a limited-time 5 player (only to level 90 characters) version of Upper Blackrock Spire where we will face bosses Orebender Gor'ashan, Kyrak and Commander Tharbek.

World of Warcraft: Lords of War Part 5 Maraad

Hi!

Blizzard released last part of Lords of War and this time we learn the rather sad story of Vindicator Maraad. I feel bad for him now due to what he lived thorugh.

He insists Varian to seal the war order against the Iron Horde. Varian asks why he is so bloodthirsty like the enemy he told about. Then, he started telling what happened to Varian in the invasion of Shattrath by crazed fel orcs. We see resident Draenei's slaughtered by the orcs, Shattrath destroyed and Maraad was ordered to take the last group of refugees to the safety. However, when he saw orcs on the way to safety, he left the unarmed refugees to take care themselves and attacked the orcs. After killing the orcs, he went to the path he told was safe to the refugees to join them but instead he found the bodies of them scattered around. He regrets what he did at that time, carries the burden of forsaking them. Finally, he tells that Varian must seal the order to prevent all those things he told happened in Shattrath back then. Varian seals the order and the video ends with Varian calling the heroes of Azeroth to arms against Iron Horde.

World of Warcraft: Lords of War Part 4 Kilrogg

Hi!

Lords of War Part 4 has been released. On this episode, Maraad tells the story of Kilrogg Deadeye, the chieftain of Bleeding Hollow clan. This one is the longest among the released videos and I believe it covers so much more than the previous ones. We see that the whole clan was terrified by the Arakkoa threat (this is pathetic) and ordered to not to leave their refuge by old chieftain. Kilrogg is challenged by his father to see his own death. He performs the sacred ritual which is a custom for the ones that will one day become chieftain of Bleeding Hollow clan. He must sacrifice one of his eyes to see his death. However, it seems ritual sometimes shows much more than just the death of the person and Kilrogg see his future. Finally, he gets back to his father's side and kills him and says that he was not the part of the future he saw. Dunno why there are so much gory in orc stories. Is it really cool, appealing? Do you get pumped?

And releasing Deadeye's story on Pirates Day? Nice move Blizzard, nice move indeed. :)

World of Warcraft News:Name Reclaimation, Face Customization, Availability of Legendary Cloak Quest Line and New WoD Legendary

Blizzard will release the character names that players haven't logged in since November 13, 2008 to other players. If you want to keep your character names, you have to log in to the game with the character(s) which would be otherwise affected from this change before Patch 6.0.2. I don't think there will be many people who'd like to keep the names if they neglect that character for a whopping 6 years. They probably either quit the game or created a character in another realm and forgot its existence. New players and people who desire to change their character names will have more options after this name wipe according to Blizzard.

It's finally here! We can now- I mean when WoD released- make facial customization in game with gold. To do this, we need to visit barber shop in Capital cities. No more irl money will be spent just to change your character's facial features. \o/

If you have not already obtained your legendary cloak, you should work hard to get it since it will not be available forever. If you've already started to the associated quest line, you must complete it until November 13 since the quest line and the any progress you have will be removed from the game on that day. If you are not already progressing through the quest line when patch 6.0.2 hits live realms, you won't even be able to start it. However, to make it easy to complete the quest line, Blizzard decided to leave Gaze of the Black Prince buff up until WoD release. Good luck on your journey!

It seems Blizzard will make another legendary available to everyone through another quest line in WoD. There is not much detail about it but its name, Khadgar's Band of Archmage, makes me believe that this time we will get a legendary ring.

These are what I'm playing this month so far...

The Sims 4

The Sims 4 is finally released this month and I'm nearly completing my first playthrough. I've created an adult female Sim called Lily. She is a music lover  and has a releated career. However, I was a fool and didn't create her as Young Adult. Now she is an elder who can anytime be reaped by grim reaper. And yes, I did use youth poition once to avoid death upto now. At that stolen time, I managed to get her a lover and then married her. I also adopted a child to learn whether little children can inherit my Sim's possessions when she dies. After that I will create a new household and make things right this time.

Lily is getting married at her garden.

Hearthstone

I finally unlocked Naxxramas on my account after getting a warning from fellow player Vambran that I won't be able to unlock the expansion for free after September 30. However, since I suck at this game, I stuck at the last boss of the first wing, Maexxna. First two bosses were so easy to defeat but the Web Wrap ability of Maexxna is a pain in the ass. I didn't want to watch any videos or read any tactics to see if I could defeat it but it seems I need a special deck.  Maybe I'll eventually check out a strategy guide.

Max The Curse of Brotherhood

I'm playing through this game and creating a walkthrough series of this game at the same time. I really like this game. However, I get so annoyed at times due to requirement of great timing on some puzzles.





Along these games, I also want to play WoW and try to complete a couple of achievements and challenge dungeons on sliver quality to get the mounts.

World of Warcraft: Lords of War Mini Series Part 3 Durotan

Hi!

Lords of War Part 3 has been released. On this episode, Maraad teaches Varian that even the noblest of the Orcs can succumb to the beast inside by a glimpse into Durotan's youth. Durotan was the wachief of Frostwolf clan which prides itself with their restraint against succumbing to rage.(Bloodlust? Blood fury?). However, even he the noblest of them all succumbs to rage in his youth and ends up killing Stormfang while trying to defend his mother. :( That was right in the feels Blizz!

Last Couple of Hours Until The Sims 4 Release!

The Sims 4 will be released in a couple of hours in US and in 3 days in EU (really?!?!) There were lots of QQing around the web about lack of pools and toddlers etc. EA had been accused that they don't trust their own game at all to release a gameplay demo. We haven't been able to try a gameplay demo since none provided. We could only watch some gameplay video at Gamescom and The Sims Twitch account streams. I don't know if those things will matter at all when we finally get to play the game.

What we have is The Sims 4 CAS -means Create A Sim in case you are not familiar with the The Sims product family- at the moment. The Sims 4 CAS Demo enables everyone who has an Origin account to create their own Sim or Sim families.

Demo also features a Galery section. Galery is the new place where the game will store our creations and the creations of the other players shared with the Origin community can be accessed here. Since you can access the other players' content, you can download them and be ready to play without even exitting the game. There is also an option to share your Sims through Facebook. It's a nice touch to be able to share/upload your own Sims with other players and access/download other players' Sims without leaving the game. On the other hand, I don't know if it was really necessary to add a facebook sharing option to the game itself. Maybe it's handy for people who has facebook pages dedicated to the game.

Since it's a demo, The Sims 4 CAS came with limited functionality. For example, there was only an option for creating Adult Sims which tends to be young adults. Elder Sims - late middle aged adults- were not enabled on the CAS demo, and I wanted to create something different than the other creations on the Galery section. Luckily, there were wrinkles and smile lines as facial feature options that I could use. I spent around an hour on the creation of the Skies (I'm bad with names) family due to my first run of the demo. I created a married couple around their 50s - at least that is what I pictured in my mind- and their siblings just to test out the genetics. I might end up removing the siblings from the family as a final touch before sharing them with the Origin community. Not sure yet.

Update! Kickstarter Campaign : Woolfe - The Red Hood Diaries Funded & Physical Add-ons revealed!

Remember when I wrote about Kickstarter campaign of Woolfe? Well, its Kickstarter campaign has just met the goal. As a reward, all backers will receive a Woolfe tabletop fantasy RPG in PDF format! However, there will be no figurines - there could be paper ones though - but a Game Master guide, character sheets and templates for dungeons and maps included in the PDF.

Originally, the campaign didn't feature any physical rewards in the pledge tiers. Developers simple didn't want to spend part of $50K to physical stuff, so they promised to prepare physical add-ons when campaign reached its goal. Now, the goal is reached, they revealed the physical stuff.

Poster set

This 4 poster set that costs $32 (Says shipping included but dunno if this is international shipping). Three of the posters are familiar since they are featured on the campaign page before. 4th one is a backer exclusive toy soldier poster that will be signed by the Woolfe team. It would be great if we could get the poster of our own creation.

Hardcover Artbook

Originally, the artbook was available only on digital form in the pledge tiers $30 and up. Now, it is available in shiny 80+ pages physical form which includes soncept art, character back-stories, level design sketches, character and environement renders and story extracts, selected fan arts. This will cost you $39 with shipping.

Boxed Version of the Game

This one includes the DRM-free version of the game (PC DVD) and the soundtrack (CD). It costs $39 with shipping. I find this pricing weird compared to the cost of the hardcover artbook. I believe printing artbook should cost more than producing a simple boxed game.

Deluxe Boxed Version of the Game

This one is my favorite but it costs way too much. $120 with shipping!!!!! A gorgeous 3D printed outer sleeve to the boxed set is featured in the deluxe boxed version with the same boxed version with a game DVD and soundtrack CD. I mean look at how beautiful the printed sleeve is.

I can't seem to choose which one to get. Posters looks neat, artbook is tempting and that deluxe boxed version of the game is just so precious. There is only 4 days left until the end of the campaign. I need to decide soon. What would you choose from those physical add-ons? Or would you let it go?

Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas - Frostwyrm Quarter is now live!

The Frostwyrm Quarter is now available and we now have new bosses and new class challenges!! This is the last quarter that is unlocked in the Curse of Naxxramas expansion.

Our guest player Vambran played and recorded his gameplay of the new quarter and it is now available on EmrianaPlays channel. The new Class Challenge video will be available soon on the same channel.

Bosses & Rewards

There are only two new bosses in this quarter.  The first boss is Sapphiron. Defeating Sapphiron rewards 2x Echoing Ooze cards. Actually, we have already seen this card used by Vambran in his earlier Curse of Naxxramas videos but this time it will be added to his collection of cards.

Echoing Ooze: Battlecry: Summon an exact copy of this minion at the end of the turn.

Kel'thuzad is the second boss in Frostwyrm Quarter and defeating him rewards 2x Shade of Naxxramas cards.

Shade of Naxxramas: Stealth: At the start of your turn, gain +1/+1.

Finally,  Legendary card Kel'thuzad is rewarded  when Frostwyrm Quarter is cleaned.

Kel'thuzad: At the end of the turn, summon all friendly minions that died this turn.

Class Challenge

Unlike the previous quarters, there is only one Class Challenge unlocked with this quarter. Paladin class challenge is available now and the gameplay will be available soon on  EmrianaPlays channel.

Update! Kickstarter Campaign : Jenny LeClue - A Handmade Adventure Game Strech goals & WIP Gameplay Video

Jenny LeClue broke art upgrade stretch goal and close to breaking translations stretch goal with 3 more days to go. I totally wanted to see the voice acting goal is reached, but it seems like it won't be possible in the remaining time of the campaign.

A new work in progress pre-alpha prototype gameplay video of sorts is shared today on Kickstarter page. I really like it when a WIP video like this is shared. These videos let us see glimpses of how the games are designed.

World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor - Cinematic trailer and release date is now revealed!

WoD expansion is gonna be released on 11.13.14. Mark the date! I'm so excited to play this expansion after watching the cinematic trailer and the first episode of Lords of War.




Such an amazing trailer! There isn't enough words to describe the awesomeness of this trailer. Blizzard should make WoW movie themselves with this cinematic team. The details are crazy! Did you notice the camera position in the Mannoroth's death scene? It is the same with Warcraft III where Grom Hellscream killed him. They even take this into account to re-enact the same moment in the same exact position just to make us remember that we are definitely in the past.




Oh and there is this Lords of War mini series which tells the story of the Orc clans. The first episode is about how Shattered Hand clan emerged. It was good. I felt the pain each time Kargath's nail is broken or when he shattered his hand to release himself from the chains.

One more video is shown on the event. This one shows in game footage of the zones, garrisons of both Horde and Alliance, dungeons and raids. I guess there is an arena type (ToC anyone?) raid in the expansion according to the footage. The most disturbing scene in the video for me was seeing Leeroy lying dead on the floor.



Good job Blizz. You made me wanna play this game again.

Hearthstone: Curse of Naxxramas - Construct Quarter is now live!

The Construct Quarter is now available and we now have new bosses and new class challenges!! There is only Frostwyrm Lair is left to be unlocked.

Our guest player Vambran is currently playing the new quarter and his Construct Quarter video will be available soon on EmrianaPlays channel. To watch Vambran's Military Quarter video click here. Also Druid and Rogue Class challenges are available on the same channel.

Bosses & Rewards

There are four new bosses in this quarter.  The first boss is Patchwerk. Defeating Patchwerk rewards 2x Undertaker cards.

Undertaker: Whenever you summon a minion with Deathrattle, gain +1/+1

Grobullus is the second boss in Construct Quarter and defeating it rewards 2x Mad Scientist cards.

Mad Scientist: Deathrattle: Put a secret from your deck into the battlefield.

The third boss is Gluth. 2x Zombie Chow is rewarded for defeating Gluth.

Zombie Chow: Deathrattle: Restore 5 health to the enemy hero. 

The last boss is Thaddius and the reward for defeating Thaddius is 2x Wailing Soul cards.

Wailing Soul: Battlecry: Silence your other minions.

Finally,  Legendary cards Feugen and Stalagg are rewarded when Construct Quarter is cleaned. Feugen and Stalagg need to be played in the same game and both have to die in the same game to trigger their Deathrattle.

Feugen: If Stalagg also died this game, summon Thaddius.

Stalagg: If Feugen also died this game, summon Thaddius.

Class Challenges

As in the previous quarters, two new class challenges are unlocked. Warrior and Priest class challenges are available now.

World of Warcraft : Warlords of Draenor - Cinematic trailer and release date will be revealed soon!

I am super-excited! World of Warcraft's 5th expansion pack Warlord of Draenor's cinematic trailer and the release date will be revealed this Thursday. Also, a new mini series named Lords of War will debut at the same day. I guess this mini series will resemble Pandaria lore mini series in style and give insight to the relationships of Orc clans with each other and with the other races in Draenor.

Successfully Funded!!!! Kickstarter Campaign: Jenny LeClue - A Handmade Adventure Game

Hi,

Jenny LeClue campaing is now funded and there is still 13 more days to go. I'm so happy that the campaign is a success. Though, I have to wait until Winter '15.

Since the initial goal is reached, new goals added. I really want to see $100,000 tier is unlocked. I believe that game becomes more captivative when each character has their own voice. I'm not sure if the campaign would be successful enough to unlock Episode Two goal. Time will tell. Crossing my fingers.
